Distinguished members, honored guests, and valued partners,

I am UmGae Joo, Executive Vice-President at LG U+, and it is a great privilege to accept the role of inaugural Chair of QuINSA.

Although QuINSA is less than a year old, we share a strong, pragmatic vision: to lead de-facto standardization in quantum technologies.

During my term, I will focus on three priorities:

Field-Proven Standards Pipeline
Each Committee Group will identify test-bed results and use cases that have already been validated in industry and convert them into “seed specifications” for collaboration with global SDOs.

Open Collaboration Ecosystem
Beyond our core CGs—communication, computing, and sensing—we will engage adjacent domains such as materials, components, and security, creating an inclusive platform for SMEs and start-ups.

Strengthened Global Alignment
We will execute a step-wise roadmap with ISO/IEC JTC 3, ITU-T SG13, and other relevant bodies, ensuring that QuINSA deliverables transition naturally into international standards.

By doing so, we will realise QuINSA’s mission of “fast-tracked, immediately deployable standards”, delivering tangible value to every member.
